Stand up to Bully's!!

Hi all! Today has been a good day.

Never let anyone tell you, you can’t do anything to stop someone from bothering you.  It is possible to use the system to help you that is why, it is there.  So many say that no one will do anything, don’t bother but that isn't true.  All you need to do is find the right people to help you.  You just have to take the time to look for them.  It may not always be easy and you may hit a few dead ends but there is someone out there who can help you.

It is amazing how when someone is spreading lies and others say don’t let it bother you, it will stop or no one will believe them.  All that may be true but today with the internet, it can hurt you.  The mental toll it takes to face people and pretend nothing is bothering you can wear you down and cause real physical pain.  When those around you know what’s going on but believe it is harmless, have never really felt what you are feeling.  Always wondering what is going to be said next is nerve racking.  To me it is when you see others believing these lies and repeating them without knowing you actually does just as much harm.  It lowers self-esteem, even in the strongest people.  It also makes you lose faith in others that they can believe such terrible lies without really knowing what is going on.

Even I know how that feels but I also know how to fight it, without violence. Something similar happened to me recently and what this person said about me bothered me but not as much as what she was saying about my loved ones.  The sad part was realizing she had been doing this for years, to my family and others.  I don’t believe that I was so blind to what was going on.  Well I won a small battle with her today, so maybe now she will think twice before doing it to my family or anyone else.

That is another point I want to bring up.  People who do this, spread lies (bully others) have done it before, and those victims didn't have the knowledge or strength to stop them.  So the next time someone does or says something these people don’t like they it starts all over again.  It goes on and on until someone stands up to them.  We need more people to stand up and stop these people.  They set terrible examples to children and they think it is ok.  This idea they have that if you don’t like someone, or they don’t like how they look or talk, whatever, they think, okay it worked before I will do it again.  But we can stop these people by standing up to them.  Show them that you are strong, that the truth is stronger than any lie.

You must remember a few things when dealing with people like this.  Never threaten violence.  Don’t lower yourself to their level.  Name calling and swearing are a no-no.  Never say anything that you cannot prove.  Your best bet with them is do-not tell them anything that they don’t need to know.  And if it is in writing (like on the internet) only deal with what they have said, I find in most cases they say one thing one day and something different the next.

If this happens to you and nothing you try works to stop them, ask others for help.  They may know a different angle (legal) that can help.  Just remember do not threaten them in any way, that pisses them off, actually you need to remember that when you stand up to them their attack may increase.  You are challenging them.  Something they are not used too, in most cases they end up scaring their victim off.  So they are free to do it again to someone else.  It worked for them in the past.

Well today I won a small battle and I thank those who helped me, maybe next time this person goes after someone, they will remember how this one ended.

Well that is enough for tonight.

Tonight I have a joke first, hope you like it.  (got it in an email)

Hard to trust them "old people"

An old couple who hadn't celebrated Halloween in a long time decided to dress up and go out.

The old woman went into her bedroom, stripped naked and tied a lemon between her legs.

When she came out, the old man cried, "You can't go out like that!"

She said, "I can go anyway I want to!"

Whereupon he retired to the bedroom and came out stark raving naked with a potato tied to his tallywhacker.

The old woman says, "You're going out like that?" and he replies, "Yep, if you can go as a sour-puss, I can go as a dick-tator.”

And here some cute pictures from another email:

If the world shared.........

Well my topic today is sharing. When you think about it, it is a beautiful word, a wondrous thing.

I believe if everyone (and that includes countries) shared what they have, I believe many of the world’s problems would fade.

Think about it.  In richer countries we throw more food out than others even have.  We produce enough food on this earth to feed all.  But everyday people in all countries die of starvation.  Everyday people get sick because they don’t have the right foods and medications to keep them healthy.  Yet everyday tons of food spoil or is thrown out.  If we shared the food we had, everyone everywhere could eat.

If we shared the technology and knowledge we have, we would have the means to get the food there or help to teach each of these countries how produce the food they need.  I know, I know, you are all saying but that cost money!  Money, you mean that stuff rich people have that they don’t really need?  Why do people and countries put money as the thing they all need to survive?  To build things they already have?  Or to show how much better they are than those without money?

If there was no money, think how things would change.  Everyone has something to share, offer, a skill, a service.  Each country has something to offer to the others.

Without money those who truly want a higher education could get one.  Not everyone wants more education; a lot of the things we buy for ourselves can be made by people who love to spend their time making these things. Things like jewelry, clothes, blankets, slippers and furniture etc.  Right now we buy them from stores and we are lucky if they last more a year.  If they were made by people who really want to make them, they would be made with pride.

With so many out of work because companies can’t afford to pay them.  They are losing their homes, kids not getting the proper education they need, being left on their own because their parents have to work two jobs to just pay the bills.  What would happen if this world stopped thinking, I have to have as much or more than my neighbor?  What if they woke up in the morning knowing they will be doing what they love, not worrying about bills and what will happen if they get sick?  If they knew their kids are happy, in a good school with small classrooms and attentive teachers. They would be happy!

How many people go to college and university because they have too, not because they want too?  Then others can’t go because they can’t afford it.  What a waste.  I truly believe there is something everyone could offer the world, and not all of it needs a higher education.

I believe we could house and feed the world. That there are alternatives to power sources.  That we can stop destroying the planet and killing off its life forms.  I believe that many inventions have been bought and hidden (maybe even destroyed) so that other companies and people could keep making more money.  I believe that there have been medical advances that have not been made public because it is not in the best interest of profit.  I believe that there are those out there that could invent wondrous things if given the opportunity.  But the almighty dollar is stopping all this.

If people where fed, housed (not everyone wants to live in a house either) and doing something they love, they would be happy.  Happy people make happy children.  If all where equal and there were no people with power to hold over the others, than there wouldn't be war, terrorists.  If people where not focused on money and not focused on +what they need to survive; how would that change the governments around the world?  And the countries?

I know what you’re thinking, religion.  The religions around the world hold too much power.  A true religion, based on any belief, should be able to let others be and believe what they want, as long as no living thing is harmed.  Religion is supposed to be about tolerance and love.  To this day I do not understand how any belief can believe that hurting or killing another for any reason is right.  Any religion that allows this, to me, has to be flawed, not a true religion.

I got these doing a Google search for sharing images click this to see page.

Here are some I got in an email, about funny animals, hope you like!!!

I dedicate this blog to to the Wolf!!!

Hi again!  Had my next blog already, was looking for something nice to put at the end when I came across this wolf page.  One page lead to another, so have decided to dedicate this blog to all the Wolves of the world.

It started when I saw these beautiful pictures:

Which lead me too:  Let-the-wolves-run-free, and than I found these:

This video was on the above page, it is beautiful!!!!

Titled:  “En compagnie des Loups - Pour tous les Loups.wmv” which means “In the company of wolves - For all Loups.wmv” posted on YouTube 2 yrs. Ago by Lucas251978.

Some more good sites to check out are:

Howling ForJustice is where I found this article (click link to read):

HSUS Intends To Sue USFWS Over Great Lakes Gray Wolf Delisting….

So my search for smiles and beauty lead me to sadness and cruelty.  This is one of the reasons this world has to change.  When are people going to realize we are here to protect not destroy?

We are supposed to nurture and care for the planet AND the creatures on it!  How can we teach the young to respect the earth and all of its creatures (including Humans) if we do not respect them???  Everywhere I look I see destruction, and cruelty.  It is getting harder to find  things that make me smile.  If I didn't have my loved ones, friends and animals it would be very hard to find happiness and smiles. My computer and the internet offer me moments of pleasure at some of the beautiful scenery and animals shots that are posted from around the world, but as proof, tonight lead me on a sad journey.

Well I did find this to end my blog for today. :)  I hope you like it I got it from "Let the wolves run free."

About Dreams..

"Hold fast to dreams..
For if dreams die
life is a broken-winged bird
that cannot fly..

Hold fast to dreams..
For if dreams go
life is a barren field
Frozen with snow.."
