New Year's Night

Hi!
Was having a bit of a problem with my computer, believe it is fixed now!

We couldn't go out New Year's Eve because my boyfriend was working.
So we went out New Year's Day, well night.  ;~)
We went to the Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
After we parked, we walked to the casino.  I started taking some pictures but had to stop because the wind was so cold my hands started to freeze.  And I mean freeze, we went to eat first and it took a good 20 minutes before my hands started to feel normal again.  Who would have thought that hands could hurt so much, it actually made me queasy.
Here a few pictures I took before my hands got real bad.

The food was pretty good once my stomach settled.
Here is a few pictures I took of the ceiling in the Buffet room.
Very pretty!

Okay the one bad habit I have is smoking.
This is what I saw from the smoking area.
The Falls!

Than they turned off the colored lights.

Okay these are just lights. ;~)

We played for a few hours, Me on the penny slots.
I actually played for over a hour on one with 20 dollars and cashed out 10 to try another.
Didn't win big, maybe next time!

These are the statue in the lobby.
My honey went to get the car so I wouldn't have to walk again in the wind.
So, of course I took some more pictures. ;~)

This is above the fountain in the lobby (fountain follows).

This is the view from the front doors
Yes that is a fountain light up by red lights.
There are close up below.

Was going to take this one off but thought you would like a laugh, I accidentally took a picture of the sidewalk!! LOL

Here is that fountain.

And this is their sign.

Well that is how I brought in the New Year!  Hope you liked the pictures!

I would like to announce a new blog today.
I have decided to let my Foxy have a blog.
 Check it out!
 I hope you like it!!!

  3. Hi, I followed you over from Martha's blog (above :) The Fallsview Casino is gorgeous - I attended a conference there a few years ago and had a fabulous time. It certainly would have been a great place to ring in the New Year! I've visited the falls many times in the summer - but have never had the pleasure of seeing it in the winter all lit up - so pretty!

Yes, I was surprised to realize how lite up it was, guess I never noticed it before. My new camera makes me see things a little different. I looked and thought "Hay that might be a nice picture!" That will drive my boyfriend nuts, stop I want to take a picture! LOL!

Thank you for commenting! And Welcome to my little corner of the world!

  4. Hey Alice ;o) The last time I was at this casino was around 3 years ago! I loved seeing all your photos at night time! Great lights and I loved the sidewalk pic! LOL! So happy, you and your guy had a great time ;o) Sorry about the computer problems! I will go check out your other blog ;o) You asked about a screen saver, when you commented on my blog. You mean the thing that goes on your computer, when you first start it up, right? LOL! I am so bad! I would have to ask my sister in law to help me out, if this is something you truly would be interested in. Take Care ;o)

  5. LOL! the screen saver is the pictures that come up when away from your computer to long. But with Windows 7 you can have multiple pictures for your home page too(that is the screen you see before you open internet etc.) Yea the sidewalk was funny!
Thanks I am glad you liked the pictures!!! ;~)
