Hi all!

CELEBRATE OZ - aLtEReD oZ 2013

Here is what I did!
It is not the good, but you have to remember not really and painter still learning.
Lesson I learned this time?
Easy, stop trying to fix it!  I swear it looked better before!
Almost wasn't going to post it!
But figured it was done in fun so why not!

Okay, can you tell I like Doctor Who!!
He would make the perfect Wizard of Oz!

I know I posted this a little late,
I hope you like it, you never know what you can do until you try!
I certainly will keep trying, painting is fun!

Check out some of the others here by clicking this link.

ACCEPTANCE SPEECH
I am so honored to receive this beautiful award!  I want to thank Tazein Mirza Saad from the blog, Transcendingbordersblog!  She inspires me with her courage and willingness to share her story and promote the betterment of the human race!  It is so encouraging to receive this and the other awards from my fellow bloggers, and that they read what I write!!  What is funny is how hard it is to write this Acceptance Speech (something I have never done before) but yet is seems easy to write on my blogs, where the worlds seem to come out all on their own!
If there was one thing I could tell a new blogger (or any blogger), it is to realize the power of words.  We can change the world, here on these blogs.  We can help those with words of encouragement and support, we can make the planet a village or better yet a home.  We can make the earth a planet populated by a large, loving family, working together not strangers striving to bring others down.  We have the power to spread the news of the injustices done to our fellow humans, animals and the earth.
Talk from the heart!  The truth and feelings will come through in your words or even pictures. Say what you feel not what you think others want to hear.  Honesty and passion can work wonders.  Talk as if you are talking to your best friend, reach for the individual, make your readers think you are talking to them personally!  I know sometimes it is not easy, and you can not do it all the time, but I truly believe we can change the world, one person at a time.  Than they change another until everyone is striving for the same goal, a better world for tomorrow!
Okay sorry started preaching again!  I hope I can live up to this award and live in the moment, strive to make each moment the best!
So for my closing words (but you were glad to read that!)  Live for now and tomorrow, don't dwell in the past, only learn from it!
Alice (Aj)
PS:  (Just one more thing before my nominations, I promise!)  Pay it forward!  Do something nice everyday, post an encouraging comment, open a door, lend a helping hand, smile at a stranger, anything! (the comment, please post on someone else's blog or post!)
My nominations are:
Okay that is it I believe, check out the different blogs, each having their own contrubtion to a better world, I hope you all agree with me!

Thanks again for the Honor Tazein Mirza Saad from Transcendingbordersblog!

Not enough hours in the day!!!

Hi all!
I have no idea where the time has gone!
It feels like I just got home and it is already time for bed!
It is a little hard to concentrate tonight.
Tired and haven't been getting much sleep.

I will finish the nominations as soon as I can.
For some reason can not concentrate at all tonight!
Seems like I just can't get anything done, no matter how much I try!

So I will just have to wait another day to do anything serious, don't want to make any mistakes!
Made like 10 spelling mistakes just writing this! LOL
Thank heavens for spell check!
;~)

I will share something with you though.
One of my Facebook friends found this video and sent it to me.

Where Is This Mind-Blowing Antique Transforming Desk Hiding Its Autobot Logo?

You have to check out this desk.  It is fantastic!!  It was built in the 1700's, would love to have met the person who designed and built this, they were way ahead of their time!!!

Ice with that?

I have been so busy, that haven't had time to post my award blog and my nominations,
I promise to later today after work!

For now something I got in an email from a friend!
I know I say it a lot but this one is really good, not funny, but nature and beauty!
And sorry but educational!
 LOL!

Here it is complete, as I received it (only changed lettering to black)

 Amazing striped icebergs

Icebergs in  Lake Winnipeg   sometimes have stripes, formed by layers of snow that react to different conditions.

Blue stripes are often created when a crevice in the ice sheet fills up with melt water and freezes so quickly that no bubbles form.

When an iceberg falls into the lake, a layer of water can freeze to the underside. If this is rich in algae, it can form a green stripe.

Brown, black and yellow lines are caused by sediment, picked up when the ice sheet grinds downhill towards the lake.

Frozen Wave Pics - Nature is amazing!

The water froze the instant the wave broke through the
ice.  That's what it is like in  Lake Winnipeg where it is the
coldest weather in decades.  Water freezes the instant
it comes in contact with the air.  The temperature of the
water is already some degrees below freezing.

Just look at how the wave froze in mid-air!!!

Having the Internet means that we get to see something that we never imagined!  Pass it on for others to enjoy!

Don't you just love that last line!!!!
I did and I am passing it on!!!
